1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tàtàșé ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our") at tataseapp.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
Tàtàșé App is operated from Nigeria and is subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Tàtàșé. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to belong to users under the age of 13.
3. Your Account
3.1 Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
3.3 One Account Per Person
You may not create more than one account. We reserve the right to remove duplicate accounts.
4. User Content
4.1 Your Content
Tàtàșé allows you to post recipes, discussions, comments, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of any content you create and post on the Platform.
4.2 Licence to Us
By posting content on Tàtàșé, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Platform and in connection with marketing Tàtàșé. We will always attribute content to your username.
4.3 Content Standards
You agree not to post content that:
Is false, misleading, or deceptive
Infringes on the copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights of others
Is abusive, threatening, harassing, or hateful
Contains nudity, graphic violence, or sexually explicit material
Promotes illegal activities or harmful behaviour
Violates any applicable Nigerian law or regulation
Impersonates another person or entity
Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or malware
4.4 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Our Content
All content created by Tàtàșé — including the name, logo, design, illustrations, and platform features — is owned by Tàtàșé App and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without our written permission.
5.2 Reporting Infringement
If you believe your intellectual property rights have been violated by content on the Platform, please contact us at legal@tataseapp.com.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or other users' accounts
Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform
Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's servers or networks
Sell, trade, or transfer your account to another person
Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited messages to other users
Engage in any conduct that could damage the reputation of Tàtàșé
7. Advertising
Tàtàșé displays advertisements on the Platform. By using Tàtàșé, you acknowledge and agree that:
Advertisements may be shown alongside user content
We do not endorse the products or services advertised
Advertisers do not have access to your personal data without your consent
We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements
8. Gamification and Badges
Tàtàșé operates a points and badge system to reward community participation. Points and badges:
Have no monetary value unless explicitly stated
Are awarded at our discretion and may change at any time
Cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged
May be removed if your account is found to have violated these Terms
Any future monetisation of badges or rewards will be communicated to users in advance.
9. Third-Party Services
Tàtàșé uses third-party services including Supabase for data storage and authentication, and Google Analytics for usage tracking. Your use of the Platform is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Tàtàșé is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Tàtàșé App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational harm.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Content you have posted may remain on the Platform at our discretion.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or by email. Your continued use of Tàtàșé after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
